Studio D Graphic Solutions
Bitten by the art bug during childhood — using crayons, markers and wax paper to customize t-shirts in the first grade — I remember being “commissioned” by classmates to create various classmate art pieces (I was well fed) or things for the Holiday festivities at school. It was then that I decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I have been exercising my artistic license since. I love drawing, sketching and painting in both acrylics and oils. Having aspirations of custom painting, I landed a job as industrial spray painter right out of high school. Spraying techniques came easy to me so I learned as much as I could about the industry, the equipment and vast assortment of coating options and applications. After a few years in the factory setting, I began experiencing feelings of stagnation so I decided to head back towards a creative direction. Still having ideas of custom painting, I attended an AutoRAMA exhibit for inspiration and as luck would have it, I had the great fortune of meeting a local sign artist. Convincing him to look at my anemic portfolio, he accepted to take me in as an apprentice. Eventually becoming best friends and colleagues, we worked together on many interesting projects through the years and I have been self-employed in the sign and graphics industry ever since. I do have other hobbies and varied interests, most of them creative such as woodcarving, faux painting and a little amateur photography. I also study Tai Chi for mental and physical balance.
